Cal Poly Layered Acrylic Sign

The idea for this project was to create a fun and unique Cal Poly sign that I could put up in my room. Using a laser cutter and a few different acrylic colors, I was able to create the sign pictured above. To start, I found the a vector file of the Cal Poly logo online and imported in into the Glowforge software. The software made it easy to separate the different layers so that we could print them in different colors. To ensure that I stacked the layers accurately, I etched the outline of the next layer into the layer below. This made the assembly of the sign extremely easy.
